Research Center on Security Policy
The “Research Center on Security Policy” (RCSP) is a Non-Governmental Organization and that conducts in-depth expert research and analysis, providing consultations on various aspects of political, security, and social life.
The Center was founded in January 2022 by historian and political scientist Areg Kochinyan.
RCSP regularly organizes various events, including interviews, press conferences, courses, lectures, and expert meetings. The Center also implements educational, journalistic, analytical, and research projects, and publishes and distributes scientific, analytical, and informational materials.
The Center’s mission is to cultivate and advocate for the development of rational thinking in society.
The Center’s goal is to thoroughly examine, analyze, and assess threats while providing political forecasts on military-political issues concerning Armenia, the region, and broader geopolitical developments. Furthermore, it focuses on devising countermeasures, predicting outcomes, and presenting evidence-based summaries and actionable recommendations to enhance public understanding and support informed decision-making
The Center’s motto is: “Democracy, Sustainable Development, Security”
RCSP is guided by democratic values, advocacy for legal equality and human rights. It stands against wars, crimes against humanity or nature, and the use of brute force.
The Center’s key programs and initiatives:
- Regional Peacebuilding Processes
RCSP members and experts are actively involved in regional peacebuilding initiatives, including Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani expert dialogues.
- “Dilemma” TV Program
The center has been presenting the “Dilemma” serial program since 2023, which is broadcast on Boon TV.
- “Crafting a More Resilient Democracy” Program
This signature program of the Center aims to develop the resilience of democratic systems by promoting opportunities for sovereign choice.
- “Democratic Security” Online Periodical
This initiative provides an analytical platform engaging leading experts and presenting evidence-based analyses on security challenges, geopolitical developments, and democratic processes.
Through the implementation of these initiatives and its continuously expanding analytical and public activities, RCSP has developed significant influence and gained a positive reputation not only within Armenian civil society but also in the international arena.
