Why Should the World Support Armenia’s “Defeated Democracy” against Russia’s Hybrid Warfare?

…the Kremlin doesn’t trust or like those governments that come to power as a result of democratization. It tends to be hostile toward any democratic system, at least within the borders of the former Soviet Union. Modern Russia has become an antidemocratic revisionist power, which aims to push back the democratic wave started in 1989 and reestablish obedient authoritarian regimes…

…Notwithstanding this dismal picture, Armenia is too dependent on Russia to act courageously on its own. Russia has a military base in Gyumri, Russian border guards are stationed on western and southern frontiers of Armenia, and Armenia is a member of the Russian-led CSTO alliance, which was created as an alternative to NATO. Armenia and Russia also have joint air defense units…
