Despite a notable Armenian presence in DC, it holds little influence that is correlated with RA. Armenia has had minimal engagement with Washington’s expert community for many years. The role of the expert community in decision-making should neither be underestimated nor overestimated, as it does exist and carries significance.
To understand the extent of Armenia’s prolonged inactivity, it is sufficient to note that most people in Washington are either unfamiliar with Armenia, mistake it for “Hay Dat”, possess outdated information, or work against it. There is a considerable amount of work to be done to establish connections between the expert communities of Armenia and the USA to uphold Armenia’s importance and role within the expert communities of Washington DC.
