The NATO summit showed the extent of Russia’s failure in its declared objectives. Halting NATO’s expansion towards Russia’s borders had been declared by the Kremlin to be a goal of vital importance, and Moscow has repeatedly reiterated this stance throughout the war.
Although the main questions discussed and the solutions proposed during the summit do not have an immediate relation to the Republic of Armenia, including the latter’s security architecture and neighborhood, our region nevertheless remains the auxiliary unit of the aforementioned developments, primarily, due to the global nature of these developments, and secondly, due to some unique features of the region.
