RCSP Chairman Areg Kochinyan, in an interview with Factor TV, spoke about the importance of completing the Armenian border guards’ staffing and resolving other technical issues, noting that only then will Armenia be able to completely withdraw from Russian border forces and the additional dependency caused by them.
He also addressed the recent political developments in Georgia and Armenia’s security issues in the region.
According to the political scientist’s position, Armenia’s future European integration will become visible when Armenia can transform its conflicts with neighboring countries. “In the long term, Armenia cannot truly have sovereign and lasting statehood as long as we have conflicts with two of our four neighbors and remain in a geopolitical blockade,” notes Areg Kochinyan.
