“If I’m not there, no one should be there” – this is Russia’s position, its positions in the South Caucasus have weakened: Areg Kochinyan

In a conversation with Zarkerak.am, RCSP President Areg Kochinyan addressed the results of the Munich Security Conference, emphasizing the priorities of diversification in Armenia’s foreign policy and highlighting the importance of “effective homework completion” in this regard. 

Analyzing Russia’s role in the South Caucasus, he noted that it is currently weakened. According to the political scientist’s assessment, despite Moscow’s aspirations for involvement, the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is possible even without Russia’s participation.
