In a recently published article by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, Areg Kochinyan, President of the Research Center on Security Policy, addresses the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace agreement and the existing obstacles to establishing lasting peace in the region.
“…Azerbaijan is demanding additional conditions—or ‘calories’—for peace, effectively turning the agreement into an auction, where new demands emerge if the perceived ‘price’ is not deemed sufficient,”
wrote the political analyst, interpreting Azerbaijan’s behavior in the context of sabotaging peace processes.
