“We are celebrating the 29th anniversary of Independence this year. I believe, we need to take certain steps of reinterpretation regarding this day.
That is, this day should not just be marked in red on the calendar, but a grand celebration should be organized among all our families. It should be the biggest event of the year because it embodies the century-old aspirations of our people. I think we have a lot of work to do in terms of giving meaning to this holiday.”
