“If the conflict in Ukraine drags on and becomes prolonged, it could pose two threats.
The first is the gradual weakening of Russia, which in this situation creates uncontrollable risks for us with our two neighbors. The second, if Russia does not weaken, is the other path, which is no less dangerous. In that case, sanctions go deeper than they have so far. This means the danger of a new ‘Iron Curtain,’ where Russia becomes a pariah state for the West and, in general, for the civilized world. This is dangerous for us because Russia will not go into this ‘pariah status’ alone—it will take people with it, including us.”
…“The greatest existential threat to the Republic of Armenia is being dissolved within Russia.”
