The Authorities Are Responsible for Failing the March 1 Case and Kocharyan’s Freedom: They Have Tied the Dead Dragon to Our Heads

by RCSP

Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction, under the presidency of Anna Danibekyan, has decided that the charges against the March 1 defendants under Article 300.1 of the Criminal Code are being dropped. What will happen now? Analyst Areg Kochinyan responded to First News: “You know, after the Constitutional Court’s decision, this was no longer a surprise. In this situation, I believe the responsibility is entirely within the authorities’ domain. The authorities are responsible for failing the March 1 case. Robert Kocharyan should answer for the March 1 violence, but he will not bear that responsibility due to the lack of potential and intellect of these authorities. Certainly, Robert Kocharyan should have answered, and now he should have been in isolation, not engaged in politics and preparing for elections. They’ve brought a dead dragon and tied it to our heads.”
