“Azerbaijan, understanding that its main obstacle in Karabakh is Russia, not Armenia, is trying to take advantage of the Russian Federation’s problems. For the Russian Federation, the main issue is not the war, but the trade war being waged against Russia, whose economy is just one step away from disintegration.
Azerbaijan is trying to exploit this situation – if not to completely resolve the issue, then to take one or two villages, capture a few territories, further reduce Karabakh, and push it into greater dependence.”
