Serzh Sargsyan has started the “honest conversation” he had announced months or even more than a year ago, stating that the time had not yet come, but when it would, he would begin speaking. Sargsyan did not elaborate on what signs would determine the “right time,” meaning how he would conclude that the time to speak has arrived and he should begin. It now seems that the time has come, beginning with the April Four-Day War, and indicating his intention to discuss everything.
The format of his approach, however, may be up for debate. Sargsyan continues to evade direct questions, which raises the question of whether his chosen format is really the core issue. What matters more is that he has decided this is the “right time.” Without clarifying the specific criteria he used to reach this decision, the public is left to speculate about the reasons behind it.
In a discussion with “First News,” political analyst Suren Petrosyan and expert Areg Kochinyan analyzed this topic.
