The Research Center on Security Policy, in cooperation with the Union of Informed Citizens, has conducted a study titled “The Republic of Armenia’s Principal Dependencies on the Russian Federation: Threats and Solutions.”
The co-authors of the study—Areg Kochinyan, President of the Research Center on Security Policy NGO, and expert Robert Ghazaryan—analyze the threats posed to the Republic of Armenia by its dependence on the Russian Federation. In particular, they emphasize the existing dependencies in the economic, food security, infrastructural, energy, informational, military-political, demographic, and other sectors, each of which is addressed in separate sections of the study.
On May 2, 2025, a public presentation of the printed version of the study was held in Yerevan, during which the co-authors shared their main analyses concerning ways for Armenia to reduce its reliance on the Russian Federation, as well as presented concrete recommendations in that regard.
